My wash day Routine & deep conditon cocktail !

Okay so I am on quite the posting spree.

I have found the perfect wash day cocktail for  my very 4c very thick afro textured hair!
I got this recipe for PGniecey on Youtube but ran out of product so  I decided that i would make it from products that I already have.

In nieceys video she uses:
  • Suave almond & shea butter conditioner
  • Garnier fructis dryness reversal treatment
  • Jojoba oil
  • Honey
My version of neiceys deep conditioner:
  • Shea moisture restorative conditioner
  • Garnier Fructis dryness reversal treatment
  • Honey
Here is my wash day step by step (usually on a monday)

  1.  Tropic Isle Jamaican Black Castor Castor Oil red pimento oil treatment
  • Apply as if I am oiling my scalp
  • Braid hair in 4 sections.
  • apply plastic cap to trap heat for 20 minutes.
  • after 20 minutes  section by section  wash with shea moisture moisture retention shampoo
  • Apply deep conditioner
  • put back into 4 sections
  •  Hairtherapy wrap for 30-45 minutes
    •    RINSE THE DEEP CONDITIONER OUT (all caps because I had a bad experience because I didnt).
  • Apply water based leave in (for me its neutogena triple moisture leave in cream)
  • Style as usual

Hope you enjoyed this post

Im a Curly Gurl Blogger!

Its been almost a month since my first post -_-! Just  now getting my school schedule kind of settled ... a tad  late but i got it.
Moving on .. Everyone has been telling me that I should take my passion for hair and make
a career out of it. So I  was on twitter and I saw a tweet that they needed writers for all different topics. Natural hair was one of them..*Responds to tweet*.  Within a few days I spoke with Brandi (the owner) & was on board. The magazine is not out yet and the website has yet to launch but I do believe that this will be an amazing venture and im very thankful to her for the opportunity.

An introductory of sorts.

This is an introductory post to what my blog will be about.
This blog will chronicle my natural hair journey  as well as things that interest me & tell people more about me .

I will introduce you to the other half of the blog named LOLA! ( we will get into that a little later).  My middle name is Lena and i decided to use that since it was a little easier than using my first name in the blog link.

This was a rough post just to get started. Still a long way to go.
